Nuts and Spices


Another vintage tucked-between-the-pages find. No instructions so you're on your own.

Nut Bread
4 c flour sifted
1 ¼ c milk
1 c chopped walnuts
1 egg
4 T brown sugar
4 t baking powder
Let stand about half hour in pan to rise before baking.

Spice cream pie
3 egg yolks
¾ c sugar
¼ t ground cloves
¼ t cinnamon
½ pint sour cream
½ c raisins
Pinch salt
