The paper of this cook book is an thin rough inferior quality, as is the printing, but it does have many recipes packed together in tight order, filling the pages.
Things looked very different by the time their 1957 version rolled around. Glossy, thicker pages, a more expansive layout with more negative space, and darker better ink. Things were definitely looking up. So much so that even the food thought it was party time.
